The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is an international and voluntary standard. The goal of TE to establish a responsible wool certification RWS is to provide the industry with tools to identify farmers with the best production behavior, ensure that wool is produced from farms that adopt advanced methods of land management, respect sheep's animal welfare, respect the five freedoms of animal welfare, ensure that wool is under strong supervision when it flows in the supply chain, and make consumers believe that wool in the products they choose is a real RWS.

Responsible wool certification RWS requires certification at all locations, from the wool farm to the seller in the final commercial transaction. The final stage of certification is usually for clothing manufacturers or brands, and retailers (business to consumer) do notneed certification. Animal welfare, land management and social modules of farm certified RWS; The subsequent stages of the supply chain comply with the requirements of CCS (Content Declaration Standard). The entire process from the farm to the final product is tracked using a transaction certificate (TC).

In almost every industry in the world, customers ask questions about where their products come from. Customers hope that the company that produces the products they purchase maintains high ethical standards in all aspects of their business. Animal welfare challenged many industries to examine the effectiveness and goals of conventional agricultural practices around the world, which made wool production clearer among brands and consumers.
