ASCP was approved as Higg FEM Chemical Specialist Verifier

ASCP has obtained the qualification of SAC Higg FEM Chemical Specialist Verifier.

From now on, ASCP Services not only carried out the routine basic verification of level 1 in Higg FEM project, but also carried out the high-level on-site verification of chemical management modules Level 2 and Level 3. It is expected that new and old customers will continue to choose Arnold's Higg FEM verification service.

Higg FEM 3-level Advanced Self Assessment

Among the seven Higg FEM modules, each module includes three different advanced problem assessments: Level 1 (Fundamental), Level 2 (Progressive), and Level 3 (Aspirational).

Each part of Higg FEM is composed of a three-level structure (1,2,3 levels), which represents an environmental practice with gradually increasing levels.

Level 1 – Tracking and awareness: Level 1 results show that the factory is fully tracking sustainable development performance and has a good understanding of the factory's environmental impact

Level 2 - Benchmarking and improving performance: Level 2 performance indicates that the factory is establishing a baseline, setting goals, formulating an action plan, and starting to reduce its impact on the environment.

Level 3 - Leadership Practice: Level 3 performance shows the demonstration of sustainable development leadership of the plant in continuous emission reduction and/or demonstration of real industry best practices (such as the use of renewable energy and/or closed cycle water recycling).

If a factory does not implement Level 1 practices (cannot answer yes or partially yes), then it cannot continue to answer Level 2 and 3 practices. This will ensure that the factory successfully demonstrates that it has achieved Level 1 practices (Threshold) before proceeding with higher level practices.

According to the requirements of SAC, if chemicals are used in the production process of the factory, and wet treatment processes such as printing and dyeing, printing and washing are included. When the factory conducts Higg FEM verification, if the chemical part exceeds Level 1, it needs to conduct chemical level Chemical high-level verification (i.e. Level 2 and Level 3 verification in Higg self-assessment system). For high-level chemical level verification, only the chemical specialist verifier officially registered and recognized by SAC can perform the verification.

That is, enterprises meeting the above requirements shall select a verification agency with senior chemical verifier when selecting a verification agency.

Tips: Level 2 and Level 3 can only be unlocked after the chemical management module completes Level 1.

Validation scope of high-level chemical verifier

Higg FEM project verifiers include: General Verifier and Chemical Specialist Verifier. Ordinary verifiers can verify all contents except chemical management level 2 (Level 2) and level 3 (Level 3), while high-level chemical verifiers can verify all contents of Higg FEM.

Chemical Specialist Verifier senior chemical verifiers should have rich experience in chemical management projects, and have systematic training, official training certificates and project cases for information related to project tools, such as ZDHC.
