BCI | Comprehensive Guide to Logo Application, Acquisition, and Usage for Certified Organizations

After obtaining the BCI Chain of Custody certification, many companies may be confused: which BCI logo can I use? Where can I obtain the source files? What are the thresholds and procedures for use?

Today's article will explain the application requirements, acquisition channels, and usage points for two types of core logos of certified organizations, helping companies to carry out external publicity in compliance.

Applicable objects and application conditions for two types of core logos

BCI mainly divides certified enterprises into Certified Organization Logo and BCI Cotton Label, which have completely different usage scenarios and admission conditions.

1. Certified Organization Logo

Applicable entities: All organizations certified by BCI Chain of Custody standards, including certified suppliers, manufacturers, retailers/brands.

Application conditions for use:

① The enterprise has completed the audit and successfully obtained a valid Scope Certificate;

② CB (Certification Body) will directly issue official Canto material links, and companies can download vector source files from the official links;

③ Only used for corporate level promotion and cannot be directly printed on the product itself. It can be used for corporate sustainability reports, website sustainability sections, corporate social media (non single product sales scenarios), and other corporate qualification display scenarios.

Acquisition Method

When CB issues the scope certificate, it synchronously sends the material link to the enterprise: better cotton initiative. anto. global/b/TALFR

2. BCI Cotton Label (Product Grade Label)

Applicable entities: Brand/retailer certified organizations required by Chapter 7 of the BCI Chain of Custody Standard, used for product identification of BCI cotton raw materials.

Application conditions for use:

① The enterprise has effective BCI chain of custody certification;

② During the CoC review process, apply for label materials from CB;

③ The label design manuscript must be submitted to CB for review before it can be put into printing and use;

④ Do not finalize or print packaging materials without obtaining written confirmation from CB to avoid the risk of material scrap;

⑤ After receiving the label file, the brand will forward it to the product manufacturing factory to implement the printing application.

Acquisition Method

Warm reminder

⚠️  Different logos correspond to different users, and CB must issue official source files. It is strictly prohibited to take screenshots online, modify or create logo files without authorization. Unauthorized use may result in trademark non-compliance risks.

✅  After receiving the logo file, enterprises can use it directly according to the specifications without submitting it for review every time, but they must strictly comply with the usage scenario restrictions.

Add differentiation from other logos

Certification body logo

Only for use by BCI accredited third-party certification bodies (CBs) for their own service marketing purposes, and cannot be usedby ordinary certified enterprises.

BCI Official Logo

Only appears on the Scope Certificate of the certified organization and is not used for general marketing.
